briantoynes-headshot2In 2000, Brian founded Wonder Interactive Media (WonderIM), a graphic design/social marketing consulting firm, which has provided non-profit organizations and government agencies with innovative approaches to developing social marketing/social media campaigns that enhance and support their research-based public health initiatives.

In addition to being the Creative Design Director of Wonder Interactive Media (WonderIM), Brian served as the Manager of Community Education at Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC) in New York City, where he played an integral role in the conceptualization, design, production, and implementation of multiple nationally-recognized social marketing campaigns. Brian recognizes the importance of utilizing strength-based approaches to educate and empower youth and young adults, communities of color, substance users, and men who have sex with men (MSM) with the skills to reduce their risk for acquiring and/or transmitting HIV, STIs, and viral hepatitis.

Over the course of 14 years, WonderIM has successfully provided social marketing/social media/web development services to over 25 non-profit organizations, agencies, and institutions nationwide, including 4 state departments of health, the National Library of Medicine, the Office of Minority Health Resource Center, and the U. S. DHHS-Office of Family Planning, Region VI.

As a native Texan, Brian studied Political Science and Psychology at the University of Texas-Austin before moving east. Filling up his passport with international travel and adventures is one of Brian’s great passions. He also finds pleasure in working out, hiking, listening to dance¬†music, attending concerts, and spending time with his friends and family.
